Our business success is tied to the progress and prosperity of the communities where we work. Through our operations, Chevron partners with more than 26,000 suppliers across the globe.
Here in Richmond, we work with local suppliers from both Richmond and western Contra Costa County. The refinery also has a special focus on providing opportunities for small, minority-owned and woman-owned businesses. Sourcing from local and diverse suppliers not only helps build local economies and improve livelihoods, but it also keeps our operations running safely and reliably.
The Refinery relies on suppliers to provide a wide variety of materials and services to support and maintain our refining processes 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The refinery’s Procurement Team works with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure all material and services meet Chevron's quality, safety and reliability standards, and are competitively priced.
