The Refinery Modernization Project is an approximate $1 billion investment to modernize our facilities by replacing older equipment with more modern technologies to create a newer, safer, cleaner Refinery. Modernization will enable the refinery to continue to competitively produce gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, and lubricating base oils that meet California's strict environmental regulations. The upgrades will improve the reliability of the refinery and allow us to operate successfully well into the future.
The project includes important community benefits, including construction and related jobs and $90 million for community programs including college scholarships and grants for nonprofits.
